Cookie policy

This page describes the cookies and other technologies (together, “trackers”) that the website daigresy.com uses on visitors’ devices. It supplements the privacy policy.

In short

The website uses no profiling or advertising cookies. It uses statistics cookies (Google Analytics) only if the visitor accepts them in the banner shown on the first visit. Without consent the website works just the same and sets no cookies.

Statistics (Google Analytics 4)

With consent, Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) counts visits and clicks on the main buttons (Book, Book a tasting, phone, email, directions, language switch) to understand which pages are useful. Data is collected in aggregate form: Google Analytics 4 does not record IP addresses, Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off and the data is not used for advertising. Before consent the website does not load Google Analytics and sends no data to Google.

Cookies set, only after consent: “_ga” and “_ga_<ID>”, which tell visitors apart anonymously and last up to 2 years. Data is kept in Google Analytics for 14 months. Google may also process it in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google’s privacy notice: policies.google.com/privacy.

Giving or withdrawing consent

The banner offers two equally weighted buttons, Accept and Decline; leaving it without choosing means no consent is given. The choice is remembered for 6 months in the browser’s storage (localStorage, entry “dg-consent”, which is not a cookie and never leaves the device), then asked again. It can be changed at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page: declining deletes any Google Analytics cookies already stored.

Third-party services

• Adobe Fonts (Adobe Systems Software Ireland Ltd): loads the typefaces; it receives the visitor’s IP address and sets no cookies.
• Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc., United States): plays the background videos with the “do not track” option, which stores no tracking cookies or session data.
• External websites: BookingExpert (bookings), WineAround (tastings) and Google Maps (directions) open only when the visitor clicks the related button; their cookies are governed by their own notices.

Managing cookies in your browser

Browser settings let you see the cookies stored, block them or delete them. Instructions are in the help pages of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave and Opera. Blocking cookies does not prevent you from using this website.
